Oviedo is roughly 25 to 30 minutes from downtown Orlando by SR 408, SR 417 and SR 426. The town grew up around celery farming, and today it mixes subdivisions like Alafaya Woods and Twin Rivers with larger, more rural lots out toward Black Hammock.
